Information... your most valuable asset.

Equinet's World of Racing draws on a large database of several million racing and breeding records from around the world extending back over several years... and it's all only a few keystrokes away!

Through the use of a modem, getting the latest information is almost automatic. Simply enter your account number and your computer does the rest. It dials into the Equinet server where your account is validated, and all accumulated data plus the current racebook and any waiting bulletins are 'packaged' and transferred to you. Depending on the speed of your modem and the length of time since your previous download, the entire process typically takes around 30 seconds.

The data you receive is the most up to date, complete and accurate possible.

Results of a race meeting are often available to subscribers within 2 hours after the last race of the day.

Trials results are usually available within a day, sometimes within hours.

Acceptances (fields for upcoming meetings) are available from one to three days before the printed media.

Track conditions, jockey changes, scratchings are in place by 9:00 a.m. on racedays.

User friendly? You bet!!

With on-screen prompts and context-sensitive help available throughout, Equinet's World of Racing is quite possibly one of the most intuitive computer programs you'll have used. Whether you are an experienced computer user, or a complete novice, you will become familiar with it in a matter of minutes.

And by the way, the most data entry you need to do is entering your account number - and that's a mere six digits!
It's got a sophisticated racebook...
The application of computer analysis to determine the best horses to bet on in a race can be as simple as pressing a single key. When a race is loaded into the racebook, each runners entire history is scanned for all details which are relevant to the day's race. These factors include the runners Achievement Ratings on a variety of track conditions and at the distance of the day's race, Weight Normalised Time Ratings at the distance, previous performance on the course, currently improving fitness, previous encounters between the runners, the Jockey's or Driver's Rating (where applicable), the runners overall strike rate, and a number of other factors.
To determine the best runners, the user simply selects the data which is most appropriate to the distance and class of race, e.g. Time Rating alone is suggested for a 1000m sprint race on a Good track.
The field is then displayed in order of merit and the potential winners and placegetters are highlighted.

To look up the Form for any of the runners, simply scroll to the runner of interest and press Enter. This immediately displays the runners full form, complete with the full field of each tote start and trial, Time Rating graph, Family Tree, other progeny from the sire and dam, etc. Highlights are applied to each previous performance on the course, at the distance, with the same rider, carrying equal or greater weight, and on the same track conditions. Each time the runner has been spelled is delineated, so that if the runner is fresh up today, you can see what it is likely to do. Previous encounters with any other runner in today's race are highlighted also.

Equinet's World of Racing has a reputation for a high strike rate at predicting race results, but it is not intended to be a 'one key wonder'. It is designed to be an efficient tool for the serious racing enthusiast, which if used with intelligence and acumen will remove the guesswork from picking the correct runners to invest on.
An inbuilt support system...
Support is an important but often overlooked adjunct to a software package. Part of Equinet's support is built in to the software. Each time the subscriber has a download, the software first runs a self-test routine on the hardware, the results of which are uploaded to the Equinet Server. In this way, our support staff are able to quickly diagnose any problems, often before they occur.
We recognize the fact that the investor is vital part of the racing industry, without whom the industry would not exist. As such our subscribers deserve the very best service we can possibly provide.
Not to mention...
Equinet's World of Racing provides functions which are invaluable to Jockeys, Trainers, Racing Clubs, Bloodstock Agents and indeed anybody with an interest in horse or hound racing.
And it's free!!
Equinet's World of Racing software and databases are provided free of charge. There is a small one-off account establishment fee of NZ$50.00 and ongoing data is available on subscription at NZ$300.00 per quarter (NZ$100.00/month) per Data Module with progressive discounts for extra modules.

To use the World of Racing you need an IBM 486DX-100 or better, with internet connection and at least 200MB available hard disk space.
